Ten years ago, God surprised Northern Virginia natives Liz and Jim Larkin by calling them to homeschool, and they’ve loved it! They have 3 children: Nathaniel (15), Madeline (13), and Christopher (3).  Classical Conversations (CC) with a mix of Charlotte Mason has served them well.  Liz tutored Apprentices (1-2 grade), and Masters (5-6 grade) exploring fun ways to memorize and learn. More recently, she has taught/directed 7th, 8th, and 9th grade at Classical Conversations of Burke. Covering the usual subjects with a few distinct additions: Latin, Geography, Introduction and Intermediate Formal Logic, Mock Trial, and Christian Apologetics. Liz has always tried to bring levity to heavy subjects and breathe life into the mundane.  This will be her first year teaching at STARS and she’s excited to see how God’s going to use her as a vessel to pour into your students!
