As a part of a Navy Submarine family, Loree Katahara has moved throughout the world including tours in Stuttgart, Germany, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, St Marys, Georgia and many many others! Mrs. Katahara is a mother of three children, with each child educated in an individual environment suitable for each to thrive. Alyssa, the eldest, attended the Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan to study harp in high school. She recently received her BMUS in harp performance and will continue on as a Master’s Degree candidate at the Colburn Conservatory. Bryce is the second child, and will be graduating from Langley High School in McLean, Virginia. He will go on to Cedarville University, Cedarville, Ohio, to study Mechanical Engineering. Micah is a rising junior at STARS and has been homeschooling since middle school. It has been a wonderful journey with the STARS families and tutors. As members of McLean Bible Church, Mrs. Katahara and her family enjoy fellowship in the church and volunteering in Kid’s Quest.
